Harbour
Authority
The Harbour is controlled by the Department of Sea Fisheries.
The Marinas are controlled by Gordon's Bay Yacht Club.
Approach
& Radio Procedure
Visiting
yachts are requested to contact GBYC to ensure a mooring or
marina before departing for Gordon's Bay with the following
information: number of crew, Skipper's name, destination and
ETA and size of yacht.
If
arriving by night visiting yachts may moor overnight at the
jetty.
It is unadvisable to enter at low tide if your yacht has a
draught of 1.8m or more but one can anchor and wait for half
of full tide on the Southern side of the harbour.

Port
Facilities & Regulations
Diesel, electricity and water are all available in the harbour
area and gas can be obtained approximately 3 kilometres away.
Food is available in the town of Gordon's Bay. There are no
towing arrangements available. The speed limit in the harbour
is 4 knots. No yachts other than yachts going to moorings
or marinas are allowed to use the fairways between the lines
of moored yachts.
Clearance Formalities
Foreign
yachts or yachts wishing to depart overseas from Gordon's
Bay must report to the Harbour Master and obtain a clearance
certificate. Final clearance must then be arranged through
Cape Town. A foreign vessel arriving in Gordon's Bay must
also report to the Harbourmaster first and then clear through
Cape Town within 24 hours.
